Moses Waithanji is a seasoned Compliance Specialist with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with both banks and fintech companies. His diverse expertise spans multiple business lines, including Banking, Asset Management, Custody Services, Investment Banking, Insurance, Fintech (Payments & VASPs), and Lending.
Moses holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from JKUAT and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi. He is also a certified CPA(K), CIFA(K), and CAMS professional.
Over the past 17 years, Moses has successfully led and managed compliance functions at Equity Bank Kenya Limited, KCB Group Plc, and Yellow Card Financial. His work has also involved active participation in key industry-wide initiatives, including the National Risk Assessment (NRA), Mutual Evaluation (ME), and the review of the 2013 CBK Prudential Guidelines.
